On that day, surrounded by scorching sunlight and the uproar of the crowd, I stood at a historical turning point. The sky mercilessly showcased its most dazzling blue, as if to contrast sharply with the suffering on the ground. Around me was a tumult, a mix of emotions: anger, sorrow, and some faces devoid of any expression, merely watching the unfolding scene. Yet, amidst this chaos, my gaze found moments that deeply reflected love and sacrifice.

I saw a man, his hands and feet nailed to a cross, a crown of thorns upon his head, blood slowly trickling down his forehead. His body was twisted in extreme agony, yet his face bore a calm and compassion that transcended pain. His eyes were profound, seemingly piercing through the river of time, reaching directly into the depths of everyone’s soul. Around him, some were mocking, others crying, but he seemed to silently bear it all, as if his very existence was to shoulder the world’s pain and sin.

Beside him, a woman knelt on the ground, her body heavily bent by grief, her hands tightly clutching the base of the cross, tears streaming from her eyes. Her sorrow was so profound, it was as though she could feel every breath, every drop of blood from the man on the cross. Yet, in her tears, I saw not just sorrow but an indescribable love — a deep love for life that remained unshaken even in the face of death.

In the crowd, there were also those who stood quietly, their eyes filled with deep reverence and reluctance to let go. Though powerless to change the situation, their presence itself was a force, a strength that chose faith and hope even in despair. Their tears, their prayers, and their silent support for the man on the cross spoke volumes of the power of love.

In that moment, despite the surrounding suffering and sadness, I deeply felt the presence of love. It was not just love for one person, but a kind of love that transcends individuals, capable of touching every soul. It was so powerful that even in the face of death and despair, it still shone brightly, warming every corner.

Standing there, my heart was filled with a strong desire — may this world be filled with love and beauty. In a world that seems full of pain and sin, let us not forget the power of love. Let us be like the man on the cross, who, even in the greatest suffering, never lost his love and hope for life. May this love traverse time and space, illuminating every dark corner, warming every heart in need of love.
